!National Scaffolding Week 2025 Has Arrived

We’re excited to announce that National Scaffolding Week 2025 is officially underway, taking place from October 6–10.

This week is all about recognising the people, skill, and dedication that make the scaffolding industry such an essential part of construction. Each day highlights a key theme, shining a light on the professionalism, pride, and progress across our industry.

This Week’s Themes

Day 1 – Why Scaffolding Matters
Recognising the vital role scaffolding plays in construction and the people who make it happen.

Day 2 – Physical Health and Wellbeing
Focusing on the importance of staying safe and healthy on site, from sun safety to working in tough weather conditions.

Day 3 – Routes into Scaffolding
Exploring the many pathways into our industry — including apprentices, school leavers, ex-offenders, and armed forces veterans.

Day 4 – #ScaffStars
Celebrating the people who go above and beyond, whether on site, in the office, or within the community.

Day 5 – World Mental Health Day
Promoting mental health awareness and supporting wellbeing across the scaffolding community.

Industry-Wide Engagement and Initiatives

As we celebrate National Scaffolding Week 2025, we’re highlighting the positive work, partnerships, and advocacy that continue to strengthen and support our industry.

💪 Building Skills and Opportunities
We remain committed to addressing the skills gap by promoting access to training, apprenticeships, and professional development across the industry. Through collaboration with training providers and partners, we are helping more people gain the skills and confidence to succeed in scaffolding.

🏛️ Raising the Industry’s Voice
We continue to work closely with government departments, MPs, and stakeholders to ensure the scaffolding industry’s contribution to construction is properly recognised and supported. Advocacy around safety, skills, and fair standards remains at the heart of our work.

💚 Supporting Health and Wellbeing
This week includes World Mental Health Day, reminding us that wellbeing is just as important as physical safety. We encourage everyone in the industry to look out for one another, check in with colleagues, and keep the conversation around mental health open and supportive.

⭐ Recognising Our ScaffStars
The ScaffStars initiative celebrates outstanding individuals across the scaffolding community. From apprentices to experienced supervisors, these people go the extra mile to make their companies and the wider industry better. National Scaffolding Week (NSW) returns for 2025 to celebrate the many achievements of the scaffold and access sector and to highlight the wide range of roles and opportunities the industry has to offer. We’re inviting you to nominate the individuals who go above and beyond every day—on site, in the office, or in the wider community. In an industry worth over £2.86bn to the UK economy, with more than 34,000 scaffolding operatives and countless others in supporting roles, there are stories of hard work, generosity, and inspiration waiting to be told. Do you know someone who has: Raised money for charity through their scaffolding business? Played a key role in training and mentoring the next generation? Dedicated their life to the scaffold industry and deserves long-overdue recognition? Whatever their story, we want to hear it! Nominated individuals will be celebrated across our website and social media using the hashtag #ScaffStar, and recognised at a special awards ceremony taking place during National Scaffolding Week 2025. You can even nominate someone who has been a ScaffStar before! The deadline for nominations is Monday 30th September. Take a look at our 2024 Scaff Stars to see the inspiring individuals recognised last year. Submit your nomination and help us celebrate the stars of our industry!
